Foam, a 100% recyclable material, has a very low global recycling rate of less than 30% because public awareness of recycling is not yet widespread. Only a very few countries have made significant achievements in foam recycling.
As the economy and technology continue to evolve, we find that many large recyclers and end users are actually still unaware that this material is recyclable. Take for example one of GREENMAX’s customers: a recycler in Trinidad and Tobago has a recycling company. They specialize in recycling all kinds of waste plastics and have their own independent warehouse. The waste they recycle is often sold abroad. Many local recyclers like them have not been exposed to understanding foam recycling programs before. There is a large gap in the foam recycling market today, and this is a great opportunity for them to explore new markets.

Foam densifier as a typical recycling machine is a thermal thickener using hot melt technology. First, the foam is crushed and extruded through the screw so that the foam melts in the screw and is extruded through the discharge port. It‘s advantage is simpler to operate than the compactor. There is no need to consider other factors in the working process, just adjust the temperature. The density of the material is higher after hot fusion and the compression ratio reaches 1:90.
