As is far known to us, China accept a large amount of plastics including Styrofoam which is not easily recycled every year. As the world’s largest importer of renewable materials, China has been sourcing materials from major countries including Canada, the UK and Japan.
But as of Jan. 1, 2018, China’s Recycling Ban put the kibosh on many of these imports; they are no longer allowing other countries to send over much of the plastic.
Not only China do this, the American Plastics Industry Association also pointed out in a recent Advocacy Regrind that there are currently 10 states and the District of Columbia determined to ban plastic products including Styrofoam this year.
So what can we do to dispose Styrofoam which is widely used as packing materials, food containers, fish boxes and building materials?
People can’t throw it away at their option as Styrofoam is hard to discompose and some countries have the law that punish people who pollute environment. Besides, ended up with landfills or sent to the ocean also can pollute the soil and water which is closely connected with us. Is there an environmental way can handle Styrofoam efficiently?
Fortunately, Styrofoam is recyclable and refreshable. And there is a Styrofoam compactor called GREENMAX which belongs to the company INTCO. GREENMAX can help us get out the trouble that no place to deal with Styrofoam as its big volume and light density. The compactor machine can compact the volume of Styrofoam as 50:1. It’s similar to make a laptop become a small key of the keyboard. How amazing it is! In addition, the company also buy a great deal of Styrofoam from customers all over the world and transform it into pellets, moldings and frame products.
According to statistics, INTCO recycles 50000 tons of waste EPS every year, which helps save 2000000 trees and reduce 100000 tons of carbon emission. In a word, Styrofoam recycling needs our joint efforts. Don’t discard it, use the compactor machine and recycle it.
