June 5, 2018 is the 47th World Environment Day, the theme is “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
In response to the theme of the Environment Day, Shanghai welcomed the students from Qibao Primary School to visit its factory.
In order to make this activity more meaningful, the students collected a lot plastic foam from neighbors, fruit stalls, supermarkets, community trash cans and other places.
Afterwards, the staff of INTCO introduced the environmental pollution caused by discarded Styrofoam waste to the students, and it also makes students realize the importance of garbage collection.
During the visit, the students understood why the country strongly advocated the importance of garbage sorting. Many of the bottles and Styrofoam packaging that we have thrown away at ordinary times can actually be recreated into exquisite products that come back to us.
Through Styrofoam recycling, INTCO helps save 2.4 million trees a year, reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 120000 tons and saves 180000 tons of crude oil which are one of the main causes of global Greenhouse Effect.
By inviting more junior students to visit, INTCO protects the idea of green and environmental protection in every children’ s mind. It ‘ s not an empty word, we should start with each of us together to create the future of our sustainable development.
Whether it is individuals or businesses, the green environment is the foundation on which we rely to survive. INTCO is such an enterprise, duty-bound to uphold the mission of green environmental protection, reduce the environmental pollution, practice the goal of sustainable development, and encourage everyone to protect the future of the earth!
