“Loose polystyrene will be recycled and further compacted by polystyrene compactor for reuse to make new foam products.” the staff of foam recycling program told the local residents.
Residents in REDMOND, WA are invited down to the store at 3925 236th Avenue Northeast, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., on April 17 to join the free polystyrene recycling activities.
Stores will only accept clean, dry and empty items, including EPS foam packaging and takeout food containers with no tapes or labels. Residents can also check their items on the “# 6” or EPS symbol on their packaging, which means the item is recyclable. The program will not accept packaged peanuts, cups, food trays or non-polystyrene recyclables.
GREENMAX offers high quality polystyrene compactors with low maintenance costs, and the equipment has the ability to effectively compact and recycle polystyrene waste, which traditionally considered unrecyclable. The equipment has a maximum capacity of 300 kg/h with a compression ratio of up to 50:1!
GREENMAX polystyrene compactor can be also customizable with an automatic conveyor belt and silo system designed for automatic operation. The polystyrene waste is fed into an open hopper and activates the machine sensors to break the polystyrene into small pieces, then compacted into strong, uniform blocks. It means that large quantities of polystyrene waste can be easily stored and piled up, thus ensuring a safer working environment and more efficient use of warehouse space.
Many businesses do not realize that polystyrene is actually a recyclable material and pile up their polystyrene waste before sending it to landfills. This is an ineffective and expensive process that indicates poor waste management. However, with the application of EPS recycling system, it can reduce waste streams and bring new projects and revenue to the business.
